SYLVAN Koh Chang

LikedVery spacious comfortable quiet room with a fantastic view to the beach. Loved to be able to swim in the clean and quiet sea, also there are two very nice swimming pools for adults and kids. The beach is clean and shady. The breakfast is good and you can go there by a golf car or a funicular which is fun. The view from the breakfast room is amazing! Also, we appreciate that we were allowed a later check out for free. Massage was also very good! We enjoyed our stay so much that we dint leave the resort for the whole of our stay.

DislikedSome of the stuff (cleaning) didn’t speak English. The food at the restaurant can be very spicy, so you need to specify if you want it less spicy. The dinner was very good, so we never went elsewhere to eat.

LikedThe hotel is perfect for the family vacation - they have rather big rooms, some children activities. The beach is very slow going into water, and there is no currents, so it's very safe for children. Breakfasts are really awesome - even picky child can find some food for self. We were there during a jellyfish period in Thailand, and we didn't see any single one at that corner of ocean.

DislikedDisclaimer: all notes here are really minor. So, the road to Koh Chang is long and tiredsome - be prepeared. The hotel is not new - you can see old-fasioned tiles in bathroom - though they keep it up pretty well. To me, the style of massage is not really top-notch. And they want your credit card to see at the lobby, which could be a trouble if you used to pay through G-Pay like me.

LikedThe atmosphere was amazing and the hotel was exceptional I will go back to stay. Breakfast was amazing.

DislikedThe bed was not the most comfortable. Had a backache when waking up every morning.

LikedVery nice hotel. Beautiful nature, beach, view. Staff were very positive, helpful and friendly. We were very happy.

DislikedOne issue was related to internet. Our roaming (AIS) was not receiving in some parts of the hotel including our rooms (beach side rooms). Therefore we were dependent on facility wifi. It was OK but you need to enter your passwords several times during the day. Bit annoying at times.
