Mount Etna is one of the most impressive formations in the area, serving as Europe’s highest active volcano. When you’re hungry, head to Catania and try Pasta alla Norma, one of the region’s most traditional dishes.
Getting there
The easiest form of travel to Sicily’s East Coast is by car, as public transportation is limited. However, buses run between major East Coast cities, including Palermo, Acireale and Siracusa.
