A genuinely luxury hotel which, in the huge sea of poverty that is Mumbai, is like a hermetically sealed oasis. Staff have the best, most helpful attitude I have seen anywhere. Cannot do enough to help. Not expensive by European standards though the choice of restaurants can be pricey. There is a low cost alternative. A café outside the building where you can buy excellent salads and sandwiches as well as fancy cakes at very reasonable prices. Pool on third floor excellent, float on your back and watch the vultures soaring above. Watch out for the hot tiles in the sun. I burned my feet. Some way out of the centre of Mumbai but that may be a good thing allowing you to limit your exposure to the India experience. I was on a business trip so not really there to see the city. Only two things let the hotel down a little 1) the floors are a little thin. A neighbor upstairs with big shoes kept me awake for hours as he paced the room, and 2 not strictly in the hotel, but the building site opposite became active at 1 AM when 6-8 men under floodlights started bashing metal with sledgehammers!
