About Durant

Nicknamed the “Magnolia Capital” of Oklahoma, Durant is the capital of Bryan County and the headquarters of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. It has a lively student population as home to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, which offers courses in everything from aviation to occupational safety. Durant is on the doorstep of historic Fort Washita and one of the largest reservoirs in the United States, Lake Texoma.
