About Lido di Camaiore

Overlooking the Ligurian Sea, Lido di Camaiore is a beach resort west of Camaiore. While it was contested between the city-states of Lucca and Pisa for many years, it remained uninhabited until the 19th century due to its marshes. After the marshes drained, it was quickly developed as a resort, attracting artists, writers and actors.

Spend a day on the sands of Lido di Camaiore, which is dotted with beach umbrellas and sun loungers for rent. There are plenty of waterfront restaurants and cafes where you can dine throughout the day and charming Liberty-style buildings to admire.

Cycle along the trail that leads north to Forte dei Marmi or stretch your legs along the Viale Europa, a breezy promenade that connects to the Pontile Bellavista Vittoria. Extending into the Ligurian Sea, this magnificent pier features a two-level observation deck where you can watch the sunset with a drink in hand.

Getting there

Lido di Camaiore is around 10 minutes’ drive from Camaiore and 30 minute from Lucca. Florence Airport is an hour’s drive from Lido di Camaiore and has flights to destinations across Europe. Regular buses connect to Lido di Camaiore and travel throughout the beach resort.
