Wekerle Estate was built in the 20th century and is centred around a tree-lined square. Decorative wooden balconies, gabled roofs and miniature turrets give homes in the estate a fairy-tale feel. Famed architect Kós Károly designed the master-planned community and placed a big focus on charm and greenery. Walking around the estate, you’ll quickly understand why it’s one of the best examples of Folk Revival and Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.
