    Arabian Night

Overlooking Hyderabad, this ancient maharajah palace amazes you with both the beauty and finesse of its architecture and the calm and serenity of the place. Golf cars take you from the door to the entrance of the hotel. Marble, crystal chandelier, fresco on the ceiling, woodwork, everything will surprise you especially the library containing rare Titanic books. Enjoy your visit to see the bathroom and its Hamam and shower, the dining room, the billiard room. Finally the meal (I did not sleep on site). Very good Indian specialties, do not hesitate, a nice cocktail menu but very little wine. Indian wine was a good choice. Informative service. Do not miss

    Wonderful Oasis

Wow!!! This will rank as one of my best hotel experiences! The hotel is set on a large estate on a hill in the middle of the city. It has been converted from a nineteenth century palace into a modern hotel with all of the desired amenities. Once you enter the property, you are taken by horse drawn carriage to the palace to check in. As you climb the stairs to the palace, rose petals showered down upon you. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, the spa and pool area are tranquil and first class, the ambience is incredible and the food is fantastic! There are evening performances that make you feel entertained and welcomed. The front part of the palace has been maintained in its original form and guests are encouraged to enjoy this space which would commonly be treated as a museum at any other facility. It will seem impossible that you can find a place that is so serene in the middle of Hyderabad. It has set a new standard by which we will measure other hotels! Nothing more I could ask for just continue giving guest the great service that you provide.

    It Was Fabulous!

The Falaknuma palace is a living museum. A unique place to stay at and experience how the rulers of Hyderabad lived not so very long ago. The Prime minister of Hyderabad built it for himself and went bankrupt over the project only to be bailed out by his nephew brother in law the 6th Nizam, who bought the property and turned it into one of his residences and a royal guest house. In the last decades it has been turned into a luxury hotel by the Taj group. They have done a great job preserving and refurnishing the central part of the palace and turned it into a museum which can be visited by guests and outside parties while also using it as part of the hotel. It features many original artifacts of this palace, which was opulently built by an English architect in the late 19th century and was very modern for the time. The guest rooms are well endowed and comfortable, the Indian restaurant is excellent. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The hotel has a pleasant outdoor pool fitted into the landscape garden. The hotel is relatively close to the old city of Hyderabad with some interesting sites to visit. But the major attraction is the palace itself and its unique atmosphere. Well worth the visit.
