Opened in 1913 on the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Leipzig, the Centennial Hall is an iconic, reinforced concrete landmark in Wroclaw. It was designed by architect Max Berg and is a National Historic Monument and UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Marvel at the 65-metre-wide dome of Centennial Hall that soars above the building and is surrounded by grand colonnades. The design also features a Germanic Iron Cross, which stayed covered up for many years until the fall of communism in Poland.
Visit the Discovery Centre to gain insight into Centennial Hall’s construction and reputation as a modern architectural masterpiece. It also features a sound and light show that uses video-mapping technology to illuminate the hall’s dome, accompanied by an original musical score.
Getting there
Centennial Hall is a 10-minute tram ride east of Wroclaw’s city centre, with both the Zoo and Hala Stulecia light rail stations offering easy access. Wroclaw Airport is 30 minutes’ drive away.
