Located at the center of the Strip, Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas is a non-gaming luxury hotel that features deluxe accommodations and amenities for first-class travelers. High-end tranquility meets sleek leisure and superior service. Luxury in abundance. We love all of the simple details that were put into making a stay or a visit to Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas the most enjoyable experience possible. From scented, moist restroom towels that freshen your hands to fresh flowers in the hotel rooms, guests do not feel as though they are being treated like wild college kids on spring break in child-proof rooms, they feel as though they are at home… in a palace. Expect the satisfaction that comes from any service offered in Waldorf Astoria's indulgent spa. With a full menu of a range of treatments, the deeply relaxing spa offers amenities and services such as body scrubs and massages, Pilates and yoga facilities, and a high-end beauty salon among other offerings. For a sophisticated afternoon, Waldorf Astoria has a tea lounge on the 23rd floor for a relaxing take on an afternoon in Vegas. With The Shops at Crystals nearby, guests are located within walking distance to a variety of other entertainment experiences. When you first walk into Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, you'll enter an elevator lobby. Don’t worry though, you’re in the right spot. The main lobby, which is located on the 23rd floor, is just a short elevator ride away. You will see why they decided to set up the lobby on this floor when you catch your first glimpse of the stunning cityscape backdrop. The hotel features 389 rooms and suites and while they are on the pricier side of hotel rooms on the Strip, the quality of the rooms and the service provided by the hotel’s employees is definitely worth the extra money. Everything that you can imagine is provided for you in this luxury hotel except for gaming. However, a huge perk of this is the fact that we love the more relaxed atmosphere in the main areas at any given time and we also don’t have to worry about the cloud of smoke that lingers in every casino.

A graceful tower of glittering gold, the all-suite Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay stands tall at the southern end of the Strip featuring the fantastic Delano Beach Club. The vibe: South Beach on the Strip, chic white-on-white décor, modern sophistication What we love: It's a quick indoor walk to Mandalay Bay - one the most multifaceted properties in Vegas - from Delano Las Vegas, so staying here gives you the best of all worlds. You'll get a quieter, more exclusive setting (there's no casino and smoking isn't allowed) while still having easy access to all the nonstop action the Strip is known for. Did we mention Delano Las Vegas only has suites? The "standard" one features a separate bedroom and living room, along with a bathroom so big you could throw a party in it. You'll also get three flat-screen TVs (yes, there's one in the bathroom). Each suite is plush, and among the fun décor details you'll discover tributes to FDR, our 32nd president. Look for the icebox modeled after his hatbox. The bathroom products really rock. The peppermint shampoo, cilantro conditioner and rum bar soap smell delicious. Best of all: The suites at Delano Las Vegas are designed in such a way that the bedroom is buffered from the hallway by both the living room and bathroom. This cuts down hugely on noise. So whenever you're trying to catch some zzz's, you won't hear the antics of drunken guests returning from their night on the town.or, who are we kidding, other guests at the resort won't hear you. Insider tips: Order one of the coffees at 3940 Coffee + Tea. They're hand-picked and come from exotic places around the world. Plus, you'll never end up with a stale cup because most of them are served tableside using a clever brewing technique that combines the best of filter drip and French press methods. Traveling with a couple of four-legged friends? Delano Las Vegas has a reputation for coddling canines for an additional fee. The resort not only offers Doggie Butler Service, but there's also the Doggie Delights in-room menu with such treats as Fido's Frittata, Fowl Play and the Pooch Patty. Good to know: Speaking of noise, the overhead music in the lobby tends to be loud, which can make it difficult to hear when you're checking in and out. The entire hotel is non-smoking; if you light up in your room, you will be assessed a $500 fee upon checkout. Save yourself the trouble and smoke in designated areas, like Mandalay Bay's casino next door.

Sporting magnificent modern architecture and top-tier dining, entertainment, pool and spa options, ARIA stands tall as a hip resort in the heart of the Strip. The vibe: Modern, gleaming and chic. Luxury on all levels What we love: ARIA Las Vegas opened at the end of 2009 and it still has that new car smell. The rooms are a tech lover's dream, featuring the latest gadgetry (keyless locks, personalized automation, etc.). Each room includes an in-room tablet where you'll have one-touch control of lighting, temperature, draperies, music, in-room dining and more. Simply put, you're the master of your domain at ARIA Las Vegas. Open year-round, the pool area at ARIA is like something out of the Garden of Eden. Three ellipse-shaped pools are spread across a palm tree-laden deck. Insider tips: Be an art lover. ARIA's got an impressive fine art collection, and you don't have to pay a museum admission cost to view it. Several pieces dot the property's indoor and outdoor public spaces. So spend the day exploring, it's totally worth it. Spend an afternoon at ARIA's Spa & Salon. There are some seriously unique amenities in here including a Shio salt room (its salt-infused air improves both your breathing and skin) and Ganbanyoku heated stone beds, which are unbelievably soothing to your muscles. Good to know: There isn't a bad room in the house. Since the price point is elevated here, why not just go all out and upgrade to one of the Sky Suites? With the one-bedroom penthouse, not only will you get postcard-worthy views and more flat-screen TVs than you'd find in an electronics store, but you'll enjoy extras like limousine transport from the airport, a personal concierge and access to the private Sky Suites Lounge, where you can indulge in drinks (yes, this includes alcohol) and snacks all day and night long. If you're thinking of smoking in your room at ARIA, don't. At checkout, you might find you've been hit with a $500-$1000 smoking restoration fee. Be aware that most of the resort's rooms (98 percent of them, only a few high roller suites have been exempted) are nonsmoking, so the only places you'll be able to light up are on the casino floor or in various bars. Parking at ARIA seems more confusing than it really is. The only way to access this garage is by turning off the Strip onto Aria Place. Follow the signs (there is no light) as these will indicate where the left turnoff is to a long ramp that goes down into the garage. This feels trickier than it is because you don't actually see the garage they guide you towards.  We also just want to add that ARIA is set way back from the Strip. Of course, most Vegas Strip resorts involve a walk to reach Las Vegas Boulevard, but this is one of the longer ones. To get to the Strip, you'll have to go through The Shops at Crystals or walk along a series of shops parallel to City Center Place and take a pedestrian bridge across to The Shops at Crystals. Think of it as your workout to burn off those buffet calories.

About The Strip

With its dazzling neon lights, lively casinos and luxury hotels, the Las Vegas Strip is decadent, to say the least. Stretching for almost seven kilometres, Las Vegas is 21st-century hedonism at its best. From shotgun weddings and gleaming limousines to dazzling live shows and lavish pool parties, the action here is non-stop. Just don’t forget the city’s unofficial motto, “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas”.

Things to Do

The Strip is lined with a string of iconic hotels, each with their own unique features. Start at The Bellagio, where you can catch the famous dancing fountain show. You can also watch a volcano erupt at The Mirage, get lost in sprawling Caesar’s Palace and enjoy an indoor canal cruise at The Venetian.

For a classic Las Vegas night out, snagtickets to one of the many live performances on offer. From Britney Spears and Celine Dion to Cirque du Soleil and Blue Man Group, there’s something for everyone.

Even if you don’t plan on gambling, wandering through the glittering casinos is considered a rite of passage. The Strip is also a shopper’s paradise, with everything from Rolex dealers to Ferrari showrooms. If you’re on a budget, hit up the Las Vegas North Outlets.

Las Vegas is famous for its pool parties, with Encore Beach Club and Marquee throwing some of the best. If you love food, you will be spoiled with the city’s notoriously lavish buffets. If you’re ready to splurge, you can also visit the smorgasbord of high-end restaurants run by celebrity chefs.

Getting Around

Getting around The Strip is easy, with footpaths and walkways lining both sides. For longer distances, taxis and hotel shuttle buses ferry guests from A to B. Some off-strip attractions offer complimentary transport, with a taxi from McCarran International Airport taking around 10 minutes. If you’re feeling extravagant, hail a limousine and get the VIP treatment.
