Take a photograph of the Criterion Hotel, one of the oldest hotels in Gippsland or check out the giant clock tower.
History buffs should visit the Gippsland Armed Forces Museum, located at the old West Sale Airport. Browse exhibitions showcasing Gippsland’s role in conflicts, where you’ll find details on the training of airmen during World War II and a traditional aircraft on display outside.
Getting around Sale
Sale is on the Princes Highway about 200 kilometres east of Melbourne. You can take the train to Sale from Melbourne via Traralgon. Once you’re in town, the easiest way to get around is by car or taxi.
