About Woljeongri Beach

Perched on the north-east coast of Jeju Island, Woljeongri Beach is an attractive stretch of sand overlooking the Sea of Japan. It’s on the doorstep of several UNESCO World Heritage-listed caves and the Gimnyeong Maze Park, which has been designed in the shape of the island.

Kick back on the white sands of Woljeongri Beach while enjoying the incredible views of its turquoise waters. There’s plenty of space to throw down your towel, as well as several cafes and restaurants lining the beach that serve meals and snacks throughout the day.

Woljeongri Beach is an ideal base for exploring the coastal landscapes of northern Jeju Island, including picturesque Gimnyeong Seonsegi Beach. You can visit the Dangcheomuldonggul Cave, a UNESCO-listed lava tube that’s beautifully decorated with stalactites and stalagmites. Alternatively, opt to explore the Yongcheondonggul Cave, which features unique topography such as lava terraces, shelves and waterfalls.

Getting there

Woljeongri Beach is around 1.5 hours by bus from Jeju City and two hours from Jeju International Airport. Having your own vehicle is the most convenient way of getting to the beach, with cars, motorcycles and scooters all available for rent.
