Surrounded by 50 hectares of parkland near the village of Tean, The Heath House is a Tudor-Gothic Revival mansion built by John Burton Philips in 1836. It boasts a storied history, having been visited by the likes of Florence Nightingale and was used as an auxiliary hospital for the Red Cross during World War II.
While The Heath House continues to be inhabited by the Philips family, it’s regularly open to the public for guided tours of its lavishly furnished rooms and magnificent grounds. Wander through the beautifully-decorated reception rooms and halls, then climb the elegant staircase to the first-floor formal bedrooms.
After visiting the house, explore the formal gardens to see the Edwardian Rock Garden and Italian Garden. The Heath House also features a classic Orangery and picturesque walking trails through its extensive parklands.

The Heath House is located on the outskirts of Tean, around 15 minutes’ drive from Stoke-on-Trent. Birmingham is around one hour’s drive south and Manchester Airport is one hour north.
